Quality Policy and Inspection

40 years, ±0.01mm precision, 5 ISO certifications, full traceability for automotive & industrial buyers.

Our Quality Management System

Genn-Hann Stainless Steel Enterprise has operated a documented quality management system for over 40 years, covering every stage from raw coil receiving to final slitting, cutting, and polishing. Our system is certified to ISO 9001 for general quality management, ISO 14001 for environmental management, and ISO 13485 for medical device material handling, giving buyers a single supplier that meets both general industrial and regulated-market requirements.

For automotive customers, our production lines are additionally certified to ISO/TS 16949 and IATF 16949, the two globally recognized standards for automotive supply chains. Since automotive components make up more than 60% of our shipped volume, our process controls, incoming material inspection, and batch documentation are built around these automotive-grade requirements as the baseline, not an exception.

Certifications Held

  • ISO 9001 – Quality Management
  • ISO 14001 – Environmental Management
  • ISO 13485 – Medical Device Materials
  • ISO/TS 16949 – Automotive Quality (legacy standard)
  • IATF 16949 – Automotive Quality (current standard)

Precision Cutting & Tolerance Control

Our core capability is precision slitting and cutting to a tolerance of ±0.01mm, achieved using cutting, slitting, and polishing equipment maintained to current standards. This level of tolerance control is verified on every production run, not just at setup, so buyers receive consistent dimensional accuracy across the full batch rather than only the first and last pieces.

We supply and process a wide range of stainless grades, allowing buyers to source multiple grades from a single vetted supplier instead of qualifying separate vendors for each material.

GradeTypical Use
SUS 304 / 304LGeneral industrial, food-contact, structural parts
SUS 301Spring-temper, automotive fasteners and clips
SUS 316LCorrosion-resistant, medical and marine environments
SUS 430 / 439Automotive trim, appliance housings
SUS 409Automotive exhaust systems

Traceability & Batch Testing

Every coil, sheet, and strip we process is tracked from incoming raw material to outgoing shipment, with lot numbers linked to mill certificates and internal inspection records. This traceability allows buyers to trace a finished part back to its original steel heat number if a quality question arises, which is a standard requirement for automotive and medical-grade supply chains.

Inspection covers dimensional tolerance, surface finish, and hardness (CSP material), with records retained for customer audit and PPAP-style documentation requests. Because we operate as a smaller, owner-managed facility with under 500 tons of annual capacity, quality checks are performed by the same core team on every order rather than rotating through a large, less consistent workforce.

Why Buyers Rely on This Process

Genn-Hann has been cutting and processing stainless steel for more than 40 years and currently exports to over 50 countries. Our customer base is deliberately balanced: automotive accounts for the majority of volume, while industrial machinery and construction each represent a meaningful, stable share of output. This mix means our quality system has been stress-tested across regulated automotive audits, industrial equipment tolerance demands, and construction-grade volume orders — not built around a single customer's requirements.
